Our school is committed to provide children with the necessary resource to develop their information and communication technology. Computer lab is an epitome of our school. To cater the needs of the students our school has a well-finished and user friendly computer labs for classes V to X. Students starting from preparatory section are imparted computer lab offers a space for students to explore and build digital literacy. Trained and experienced teachers provide both theoretical and practical lessons for students to help them navigate a rapidly changing technology driven world.
In high school we have fully equipped, networked, multimedia computers to meet the modern computing necessities. There are around 30 computers with latest configuration. It provides an environment to implement and experiment the knowledge acquired in the classroom. All systems have been installed with latest Ubuntu Operating System with rich Application softwares to cater the study needs of high school students.
In order to avoid the insecure usage of internet by high school students, different strategies are used by the in charge teachers and the school management, with out blocking the internet access to students. Only fraudulent and porn sites are blocked in order to ensure knowledge exploration. The students activities over the internet are regularly monitored by the server in terms of node IP address and user name. For participating the conservation of energy campaign of our nation, we urged to help by delivering energy to electricity board. Also, we are driving power to our all systems with solar energy. Major area of our rooftops are fetching the solar power for our internal usage.
Our High school lab is a part of campus area network of Bethany Group of institutions. A storage space reservation is provided in high school computer lab in order to protect the data of students. So each student possesses an User id and password to open their private location. Students are able to access the lab during the working hours. All the teachers, students and office staffs can keep their data in a highly secured manner in the centralised Linux Authentication server. This server is installed with the latest Samba 4 technology. An extra layer of security with MAC filtering is also used to ensure data protection, which blocks the unknown device from connecting to the School Campus Area Network (CAN).
